Ridiculous Coding: Enhance Your Godot Coding Experience

Ridiculous Coding is a Godot Engine plugin designed to inject some fun and visual flair into your coding workflow. Inspired by Textreme2, this addon adds entertaining effects to your code editor as you type, making the coding process a little less monotonous.

Installation

To install Ridiculous Coding, follow these steps:

  1. Create an addons directory in your Godot project.
  2. Create a ridiculous_coding directory inside the addons folder.
  3. Copy all the plugin files into the ridiculous_coding directory.
  4. Enable the plugin in Project Settings under the Plugins tab.

Important: Ensure you are using a monospaced font in your Godot Editor Settings (Interface | Editor) for correct cursor position calculation.

Usage

After installation and enabling the plugin, you might need to restart the Godot editor or open a new script file to see the effects in action. The plugin will then add visual effects as you type in the script editor.

Ridiculous Coding is developed by John Watson, who is also creating the game Gravity Ace. Consider following him on Twitter and wishlisting Gravity Ace on Steam or itch.io to support his work.
