Rapid Rescue: A Local Multiplayer Strategy Game in Godot

Rapid Rescue is a local multiplayer strategy game developed in Godot, drawing inspiration from the classic game Labyrinth. The core gameplay revolves around strategically moving river tiles to create a navigable path through treacherous rapids. Players compete to rescue stranded characters, known as "peeps," with the first player to successfully save five peeps declared the winner.

Gameplay Mechanics

The game utilizes mouse input for its primary controls. Players can move river tiles to redirect the water flow, right-click to rotate the currently selected tile, and left-click to inject a river tile into the game board or move their player.

Contributions and Development

The project is open to contributions, inviting community involvement to further enhance and expand the game. This collaborative spirit encourages developers to contribute to the ongoing development of Rapid Rescue.

Godot Engine

Built with the Godot Engine, Rapid Rescue leverages the engine's capabilities for 3D game development and local multiplayer functionality. The game's mechanics and visual style are well-suited for Godot's flexible and node-based architecture.
